There Goes the Neighborhood

May 3, 2010 • Dan O'Boyle

If you see two new blurs around the Park&Co campus, be sure to say hi. It’s our constantly-on-the-move tenants, Chip Scutari and Dave Cieslak. One’s a staunch Republican, the other’s a diehard Democrat. One loves baseball, the other’s a football fan. Basically, Felix and Oscar have moved in. How they found enough in common to launch the successful PR firm of Scutari & Cieslak is still under review.

Both former reporters for the Arizona Republic, Chip and Dave have a well-honed talent for finding the nexus between politics, public policy and big issues. Just three months old, their client list already includes the likes of Korean Air, Yes On Prop 100, and the Arizona Council of Human Service Providers among others. Their colorful, opinionated back-and-forth has added a wisecracking newsroom dynamic to the southwest end of the campus that’s as juicy and revealing as today’s headlines. A huge Park&Co welcome to both of them.

Who’s ridiculous idea was this? It’s seems like a match made in, well, I’m not sure where it’s made. Congrats to Chip and Dave for infiltrating a fine institution like Park&Co. But good luck Park&Co. It’s only a matter of time before Dave begins complaining about the temperature and Chip asks for help on how to use his computer.
